DEADLINE, 2000AD, A1, BRICKTOP & CRISIS

2000 AD is a weekly British science fiction-oriented comic. As a comics anthology it serialises a number of separate stories each issue (known as a "prog") and was first published by IPC Magazines in 1977, the first issue dated February 26. IPC, later Fleetway, continued to produce the title until 2000, when it was bought by Rebellion Developments. It is most noted for its Judge Dredd stories, and has been contributed to by a number of artists and writers who became renowned in the field internationally.

Crisis was a British comic published from 1988 to 1991 as an experiment by Fleetway to see if intelligent, mature, politically and socially aware comics were saleable in the United Kingdom. The comic was initially published fortnightly, and was one of the most visible components of the late-80s British comics boom, along with Deadline, Revolver, and Toxic!.

Deadline was a British comic magazine published between 1988 and 1995. Created by 2000 AD stalwarts Brett Ewins and Steve Dillon, it featured a mix of comic strips and written articles targeted at older readers. Although similar to the likes of Crisis, Revolver and Toxic! which emerged during the magazine's heyday, Deadline alone managed to sustain its impact beyond the first few issues and had a cultural influence beyond the comics world.
