Neverwhere,
Thor, Batman, Preacher, Hellblazer, Slaine, Daredevil...
Hello, my name is Glenn Fabry and I am an illustrator. Previous
clients include Atari, Infogrames, Paramount Pictures, The Tatler
and Marvel and DC Comics in the USA. My first professional work
was for the Stranglers rock group when they were based at Shepperton
Film Studios; then I worked for the British Sci Fi comic 2000AD
for about eight years on characters like Judge Dredd and Slaine
before my work moved to the US in the early 90's. The vast majority
of my work has been in in comic strips for the past 20 years,
for which I've won numerous international awards including an
Eisner Award (equivalent to an Oscar in the comic biz) twice.
All of my comics work has been republished in the graphic novel
format, most recently for Neil Gaiman's 'Neverwhere' for Vertigo
publishing, which came out this Christmas. My graphic novels
include 'The Authority' - Kev', 'Thor - Vikings', the New York
Times bestseller 'Endless Nights' (also with Neil Gaiman), 'Slaine
the King', 'Slaine Demon Killer', 'Judge Dredd - Batman - Judgment
on Gotham' and the best selling Vertigo series 'Preacher', for
which I supplied the painted covers, is currently in pre-production
for HBO as a live action TV series. There is also a collection
of these covers entitled 'Preacher - Dead or Alive'. In the
last couple of years I've also written and illustrated two books
on anatomy: 'Muscles in Motion' (my printed sketchbooks) and
'Dynamic Anatomy for the Fantasy Artist' and worked on 'Magic
the Gathering' and World of Warcraft' card games and I am currently
working on the graphic novel 'Greatest Hits', again for Vertigo
Publishing I've also painted covers for computer games including
'Desperados' and 'Dungeons and Dragons - Heroes'. My specialty
is hand drawn and hand painted illustrative work, concentrating
on dynamics and imaginative character.
